Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, leaf blowers, power washers) for park and facility maintenance
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and signage installation during road repairs
- Conduct routine inspections and reporting of public property conditions
- Support storm response and emergency cleanup operations
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work both independently and collaboratively
- Pass background check and drug screening
