Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, debris removal, and material handling
- Operate and maintain hand/power tools (shovels, saws, jackhammers) safely
- Assist in construction/maintenance of sidewalks, streets, and green spaces
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report issues
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Complete daily equipment checks and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical labor
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Previous public works or landscaping experience preferred
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
