Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and hauling materials on public works sites.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, parks, and drainage systems.
- Operate basic heavy equipment and hand tools (shovels, rakes, jackhammers) under supervision.
- Set up and monitor traffic control zones, cones, and signage to ensure safety.
- Collect and dispose of debris, litter, and construction waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
