Responsibilities
Maintain Streets and Sidewalks: Assist in sweeping, cleaning, and repairing city streets and sidewalks to ensure public safety and accessibility.Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain light to medium construction equipment, including backhoes, loaders, and street sweepers under supervision.Snow and Ice Removal: Clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter weather events to maintain safe passage.Sanitation Support: Assist with trash collection, leaf removal, and public ground maintenance duties as assigned.Utility Maintenance: Help with the installation and maintenance of traffic signs, guardrails, and basic utility infrastructure.Groundskeeping: Perform landscaping duties, including mowing, weeding, and planting in public parks and medians.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.Experience: Prior experience in public works, construction, landscaping, or sanitation is preferred but not mandatory.License: Valid Class C Arizona Driverβs License required.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.Skills: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools; ability to follow safety protocols and verbal instructions.Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and shift work as needed.
