Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, power washers) under supervision
- Assist in construction zone setup, traffic control, and safety compliance
- Collect and dispose of waste materials following environmental protocols
- Conduct visual inspections of infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Support seasonal projects including street sweeping and vegetation control
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic operational readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA guidelines
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently as needed
- Experience with hand tools and power equipment preferred
