Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate light machinery including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in construction and landscaping projects including grading, sodding, and irrigation work
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in cleanup operations after storms or special events
- Complete accurate daily work logs and time sheets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and light machinery operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
