Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and operating hand/power tools for infrastructure maintenance
- Assist in street repair, stormwater management, and park facility upkeep projects
- Ensure work areas comply with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Operate light machinery (e.g., street sweepers, dump trucks) under supervision
- Collect and dispose of debris, waste materials, and recyclables from job sites
- Participate in emergency response activities during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate logs of materials used and work completed
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age with ability to pass background check
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic familiarity with hand/power tools and construction safety
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and work collaboratively in teams
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., flagging) upon hire
