Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) under supervision
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and departmental procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and material usage
- Participate in emergency response operations during weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety standards
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse teams
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
