Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate hand tools and light equipment (shovels, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in street maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Participate in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Support vegetation control and landscaping initiatives across public spaces
- Document work activities and maintain equipment cleanliness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards
- Reliable transportation to various city work sites
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends
