Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Assist in road repair projects including pothole patching and signage installation
- Operate light machinery such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers
- Support waste management initiatives through litter cleanup and recycling support
- Contribute to seasonal beautification projects including landscaping and tree planting
- Collaborate with crews during emergency weather response and cleanup operations
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain organized worksites
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality
- Previous landscaping or construction experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
