Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, tampers, sweepers) under supervision
- Assist in street maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park facility upkeep
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA safety protocols
- Support vegetation management and landscape improvements along public rights-of-way
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on time-sensitive municipal projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions (heat, dust, rain)
- Previous construction or landscaping experience a plus
