Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, debris removal, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, trimmers, pressure washers) under supervision
- Maintain city parks, greenways, and public facilities through landscaping and upkeep activities
- Assist with road repairs, drainage maintenance, and stormwater management projects
- Adhere to all safety protocols while using hand tools and protective equipment
- Complete daily work logs and report equipment maintenance needs
- Collaborate with crew members to efficiently meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and light equipment operation
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
