Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in construction and repair of public infrastructure (e.g., traffic signals, signage)
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, sweepers) with proper safety protocols
- Collect and dispose of waste materials from work sites
- Support stormwater management and erosion control initiatives
- Document daily work activities and material usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on scheduled projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Previous experience in public works, landscaping, or construction preferred
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
