Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in public infrastructure maintenance including street repairs, park upkeep, and storm drain clearing
- Operate light machinery like jackhammers, pressure washers, and hand tools under supervision
- Assist in traffic control and safety zone setup during municipal projects
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized work sites
- Support vegetation management and irrigation system maintenance
- Document daily work activities and equipment usage in field reports
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme heat conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Must pass pre-employment physical examination and drug screening
- Previous landscaping or construction experience preferred
- Availability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
