Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and drainage maintenance
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery under supervision
- Assist in road repair, traffic sign installation, and park maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Participate in emergency response during natural disasters
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Support team goals through collaborative project execution
Qualifications
- No prior experience required – we train all new hires
- Valid Texas Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (provided by city)
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team setting
