Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for construction/maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and debris removal
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Maintain public spaces including parks and roadways
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Florida Class B CDL preferred but not required
