Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and construction of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including dump trucks, loaders, and snowplows.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, hauling materials, and lifting heavy objects.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and departmental policies.
- Participate in street sweeping, waste management, and trash collection activities.
- Respond to emergency weather situations, including snow and ice removal operations.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled tradespeople and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Able to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Valid Class C Minnesota Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak seasons.
