We're seeking dedicated part-time laborers to support essential maintenance and construction projects across the city. This hands-on role offers flexible hours while making a tangible impact on Plano's public spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, and litter removal
- Assist in construction and repair of sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, pressure washers) safely
- Load/unload materials and equipment for various projects
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Document daily work activities and materials used
- Collaborate with crew members to maintain project timelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Previous construction/maintenance experience preferred
- Pass pre-employment background check
