Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power washers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in street repair, sidewalk installation, and storm drain clearing
- Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Support emergency response during weather-related public works events
- Inventory and maintain equipment/tools in proper working condition
- Document work progress and report maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, dust)
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or public works valued
- Flexible availability including weekend/evening shifts
