Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public infrastructure including parks, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Operate light equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in seasonal projects like beach nourishment, litter control, and vegetation management
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards or maintenance needs
- Support emergency response efforts during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment maintenance records
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old and possess valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented work ethic
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or public service preferred
