Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and landscaping for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, concrete saws) safely and efficiently
- Maintain public areas including parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Support waste management and recycling initiatives city-wide
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Preferred: 6+ months construction or maintenance experience
