Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure public safety and accessibility.
- Perform landscaping and park maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, and litter removal.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment at various job sites.
- Operate light to medium-duty machinery, such as jackhammers, pavement breakers, and rollers, under supervision.
- Clear snow and debris from roads, parking lots, and public walkways during inclement weather.
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report necessary repairs to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance tools is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo safety training and certifications.
