Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize official county records with strict adherence to retention policies
- Process public record requests within legal compliance timelines
- Digitize and archive documents using county-approved systems
- Verify document authenticity and maintain chain-of-custody protocols
- Collaborate with legal and public safety teams on sensitive records
- Train on FOIA requirements and Oregon public records laws
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred
- 1+ years records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Knowledge of Oregon public records laws (ORS 192)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion
- Clear communication skills for public interactions
