Responsibilities
- Process, catalog, and maintain official municipal records in compliance with California Public Records Act
- Respond to public record requests with accuracy and timeliness
- Digitize and archive documents using City-records management systems
- Verify data integrity across physical and digital record-keeping platforms
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure records retention policies are followed
- Prepare routine reports on records inventory and request fulfillment metrics
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree in Records Management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in document management or records handling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document scanning software
- Knowledge of California public records regulations
- Ability to pass fingerprint-based background check
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
