Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and metal detection equipment to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of persons and property as required
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and security threats
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security protocols
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
- Maintain strict compliance with TSA policies and federal regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid Hawaii driver's license (if required for role duties)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technology
