Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screenings using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Enforce TSA security protocols with precision while maintaining courteous customer interactions
- Identify and report prohibited items or suspicious activities through established communication channels
- Operate security equipment including walk-through metal detectors, X-ray machines, and trace detection systems
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and follow incident reporting procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security escalations
- Participate in mandatory security drills and continuous training programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
