Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols

- Monitor security checkpoints for suspicious activities and report concerns to supervisors
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening incidents and procedures
- Provide courteous assistance to travelers with disabilities or special screening needs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse travelers
- Basic computer proficiency for operating screening equipment
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
- Completion of TSA's paid training program required
