Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and bag inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints to identify suspicious items and behavior
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professional demeanor
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Participate in recurrent training on new security technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid state driver's license (preferred)
