Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect threats such as explosives, weapons, and other prohibited items.
- Operate X-ray machines and CT scanners to analyze luggage and packages.
- Enforce security regulations, laws, and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform search and rescue operations when necessary.
- Document incidents, observations, and irregularities accurately in security logs.
- Collaborate with other security personnel to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status (must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance).
- Pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and fingerprinting.
- Pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a vision test (corrected vision is acceptable).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
