As a TSA Security Screener, you will play a critical role in national security. Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Identify dangerous items, weapons, and prohibited items in baggage and on passengers.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public to ensure a positive travel experience.
- Operate and monitor security screening equipment in strict compliance with TSA regulations and protocols.
- Enforce security rules and procedures consistently and fairly in high-pressure situations.
- Document security observations and incidents accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a rigorous background investigation and security clearance.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
