Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items.
- Operate X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to identify potential threats accurately.
- Interact professionally with travelers, explaining screening procedures clearly and resolving inquiries efficiently.
- Enforce strict security regulations and maintain compliance with TSA protocols at all times.
- Assist passengers with disabilities and special needs, ensuring dignified and secure screening experiences.
- Perform bag searches and maintain a clean, organized, and safe screening workspace.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship (required for federal employment and Secret Security Clearance).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
