Responsibilities
- Operate advanced security screening equipment, including X-ray machines and Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT), to detect prohibited items.
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage screening in accordance with strict security protocols.
- Verify the identity and travel documents of passengers to ensure compliance with TSA regulations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while interacting with the traveling public.
- Respond quickly and effectively to security alerts and potential threats.
- Collaborate with fellow screeners and supervisors to maintain an efficient and secure checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident Alien.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Good vision and the ability to distinguish colors (for operating X-ray equipment).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early morning/late-night hours.
