Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail & Packages: Transport and deliver mail and parcels to customers along a designated route in a safe and timely manner.
- Mail Sorting: Sort incoming mail and parcels efficiently before beginning the delivery route.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers to answer questions and resolve delivery issues courteously.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the security and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical duties including lifting packages up to 50+ pounds, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of delivery attempts and obtain customer signatures when necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and postal regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record (required for vehicle operation).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly; ability to walk and stand for long durations.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and time management skills.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
