Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming mail and packages according to established postal standards and procedures.
- Deliver mail to residential and business customers along assigned routes in all types of weather conditions.
- Use handheld scanning devices and automated equipment to track mail status and update tracking information.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including answering inquiries and resolving delivery concerns.
- Load and unload mail from vehicles and sort into cases for delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy packages and bending/stretching as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent legal resident status.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and a physical fitness assessment.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn proprietary tracking software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
