Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
- Sort and organize mail according to established postal procedures and carrier route maps.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to the public, handling inquiries with care.
- Perform occasional lifting and carrying of heavy parcels (up to 70 lbs) and walking long distances.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices and automated equipment to track package status and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the mail vehicle and delivery equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols while operating a vehicle or walking the assigned route.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds and be physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a postal exam (tests are administered during the hiring process).
