Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans for 500,000+ state employees ensuring compliance with ERISA and Georgia state regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and distribution payments with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct financial forecasting and actuarial analysis to ensure long-term fund solvency
- Develop and implement pension policy updates aligned with legislative changes
- Lead cross-departmental audits and compliance reviews with external auditors
- Manage stakeholder communications including retirement workshops and benefit counseling sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field required
- 5+ years of pension administration experience with defined benefit plans
- SPBC or QKA certification preferred
- Expertise in pension legislation (ERISA, Georgia Code Title 47)
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (Milliman, Mercer)
- Proven experience with large-scale data analysis and financial modeling
