Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including CSRS/FERS and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and survivor claims
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, OPM regulations, and federal pension statutes
- Conduct audits and investigations of pension discrepancies
- Develop educational materials for pre-retirement counseling sessions
- Collaborate with OPM, Treasury, and congressional stakeholders
- Lead system modernization projects for pension administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (CSRS/FERS/TSP)
- Strong analytical skills with pension software proficiency
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Professional certification (SHRM-SCP, CEBS, or PRC) preferred
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship required
