Responsibilities
- Process pension enrollments, contributions, and distribution requests with 99.8% accuracy
- Assist in compliance testing for ERISA and IRS regulations
- Respond to participant inquiries via phone/email within 24 hours
- Maintain digital records using pension administration software (Milliman or similar)
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports for fund auditors
- Support annual open enrollment campaigns for municipal employees
- Collaborate with finance teams on benefit projections and funding strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in benefits administration or financial services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong understanding of basic pension terminology (vesting, accruals, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion
- Detail-oriented approach with error prevention focus
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract
