Responsibilities
- Administer complex federal pension plans ensuring compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations
- Process retirement applications and conduct benefit calculations with 99.7% accuracy
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning, survivor benefits, and tax implications
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to update plan documents and procedures
- Conduct audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in pension fund allocations
- Develop educational materials for pre-retirement seminars and online resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension management software
- Deep understanding of federal retirement systems (TSP, FERS, CSRS)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
