Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize comprehensive employee benefits packages aligned with state regulations
- Analyze benefits data to ensure cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction
- Conduct annual benefits enrollment campaigns and provide personalized consultations
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for insurance providers
- Develop educational materials and training programs on benefits offerings
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (ERISA, ACA, etc.)
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives to enhance benefits accessibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of benefits administration experience in public sector
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred
- Expertise in health insurance plans, retirement programs, and wellness initiatives
- Advanced analytical skills with benefits software (e.g., Workday, ADP)
- Strong communication abilities for employee training and presentations
- Knowledge of Florida state employee benefits regulations
- Proven project management experience for benefits implementation
