Responsibilities
- Administer and enforce federal pension regulations (ERISA, PBGC) for private sector plans
- Conduct compliance audits of pension plan documents and financial reporting
- Investigate and resolve participant benefit disputes and fiduciary violations
- Develop educational materials for plan sponsors and participants
- Collaborate with state agencies on multi-jurisdictional pension cases
- Analyze pension plan solvency and funding adequacy metrics
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for congressional oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field required
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits compliance experience
- Knowledge of ERISA, PBGC regulations, and IRS pension codes
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Alight, Benefitfocus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex financial documents and regulations
- Professional certification (CEBS, QPA, or ASPA) preferred
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
