Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with accuracy and urgency
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Enter and maintain critical information in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide clear communication during high-stress emergency situations
- Apply Virginia emergency protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during active incidents
- Complete all required training modules within specified timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Strong typing skills (minimum 35 WPM)
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Valid Virginia driver's license required
