Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and non-emergency dispatch requests with accuracy and empathy
- Coordinate emergency responses across police, fire, and medical units
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Participate in ongoing training to refine communication and crisis management skills
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized systems
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
