Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Provide critical instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field units
- Enter and update information in law enforcement databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Complete comprehensive training program within 6 months
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified by assessment)
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Clear communication skills in high-stress environments
- Commitment to 24/7 shift work including nights/weekends
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident
