Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation per protocol
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Operate radio systems and specialized communication equipment
- Perform data entry and record management in compliance with state regulations
- Participate in continuous training and scenario-based drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy
- Exceptional communication skills under high-pressure situations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision
