Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch police units using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Operate radio systems and communication equipment
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18+ years old and US citizen
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Available for rotating shifts (nights/weekends/holidays)
