Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to accurately document incident details
- Dispatch officers using radio protocols and multi-tasking techniques
- Provide critical information to field units during active incidents
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-stress emergency situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license at time of hire
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Experience in customer service or crisis management preferred
- Must pass written and oral psychological evaluations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
