Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Execute emergency protocols for active threats and natural disasters
- Train on NCIC database access and confidential information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Ohio POST certification within 6 months of hire
