Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate records in CAD/RMS systems during high-pressure situations
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor radio communications and maintain situational awareness
- Train on departmental protocols and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with officers, firefighters, and medical teams seamlessly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
