Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch police/fire/EMS units
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and logs
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Monitor radio communications and surveillance systems
- Adhere to NIMS and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- 18+ years old (Alaska state requirement)
- Typing speed 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear criminal background check
- Ability to pass psychological evaluation
- Strong multitasking and situational awareness
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, CAD systems)
- Valid Alaska driver's license
